Having been around since the early 70s pacman has grown huge in popularity.
He has put on boxes of cereal, been on morning cartoon programs and has been on almost every gaming platform, including an arcade game at dave and busters called battle pacman, it was really cool.

Thats not just systems from Apple, Sony and Nintendo, but also every cell phone platform, old gameboy systems and even plug in tv devices. Pacman has built a great empire has made the publisher Namco to survive for all these years.

The game developers of pacman have told us a secret that is new to most fans.

The point of pacman was to aquire girls. While todays gamer is more likely to be a guy, arcade gaming in the 1970s was pretty much male gamers only. Pacman developers wanted to change this, making a game that not only men, but women and others would want to play.

“The reason I wanted to create PacMan was to squire female gamers and families” he said. “We had no games people could play at home. Female gamers had to go to an arcade. These arcades were filled with boys and they shunned females away. So we wanted older and more casual gamers to be able to experience gaming so we invited a home console system.”

Each of pacman enimies ghost had a specific job. When you first try pacman, it might look like all four of the ghosts are doing the same thing. This is not the case at all. Pacman developers did this on purpose to make the game more interesting, this would have made all four ghosts in the same place moving at the same time, this is no fun.

So what we did, only Blinky, who is the red ghost, who is the ghost who follows you around the whole time. The pink ghost (Pinky), positions herself exactly 32 pixels in front of Pac-Mans face the entire time. Inky, the blue ghost, puts himself at a slightly more random spot kinda like how Pinky does it. And the orange ghost Clyde, 100% at random. Combining all four ghosts doing these jobs make the game and the difficulty that it is.

You are moving the whole time which makes the ghosts move at the same time, this makes the game really challenging and fun to play.
